The existing HCL DX environment had accumulated custom portlets/applications and shared libraries over time, increasing operational burden and slowing change. Modernization needed to protect continuity for users while improving maintainability and reliability.
Migrate from HCL DX
OG+E transitioned from HCL DX to Liferay DXP using a phased execution approach. Asponte established non-production readiness, validated migration patterns early, and supported a controlled path to production cutover.
Modern Governance & Future Flexibility
Liferay DXP introduced stronger page composition and publishing governance, enabling a more sustainable operating model for ongoing updates and phased feature expansion. The platform was implemented to support role-based access control and integration-ready architecture.

OG+E now has a modern DXP foundation that improves maintainability and operational efficiency, supports structured governance for content and change, and provides a scalable platform for future enhancements and integrations over time.
